Get ready for a great day of discovery! Visitors receive FREE general admission from 10am to 4pm on Monday, January 15. Curators will talk with guests outside of their labs and showcase specimens that are not usually on display. Watch mini Shafran Planetarium shows for $1/person and participate in amazing demonstrations with scientists and students from Case Western Reserve University and University of Chicago. Guests can meet Cleveland’s neighborhood wildlife in special live animal presentations, and make a craft to take home in Smead Discovery Center on the Museum’s lower level.

Akron Zoo offering free admission on Jan. 15, 2018 for MLK Day.

The Akron Zoo will be offering free admission for all guests on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 15, 2018. The Akron chapter of the NAACP and the Akron-Summit County Public Library will be providing children’s activities, while supplies last. Parking is $3 per vehicle.

The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Winter hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and admission is $7.00 per person. Children under two are free. The parking fee is $3. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
