Don’t feel bad if you don’t know what Paczki Day is.  Until a few years ago I was unaware of this confection day. In fact how I found out I was driving by a bakery and there was a line out the door.  So of course I had to stop and find out.  Response. It’s Paczki Day!  It’s what?

Where are the best pies in Ohio?

Growing up in the country you learn to appreciate pie. I could always tell what season it was by the fruit pies being made by my grandma. Pie making was an art form at my grandma’s. She first would cut the chilled lard into the dry mixture with her pastry cutter. She then rolled the dough out on her pie board with such precision and care. Her crusts where always flaky and her pies always filled as high as the pan allowed. My grandmother made great pies.
