My Way, a Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Rabbit Run Theater closes the 2019 summer season with “My Way, a Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra”

MADISON, OH – Celebrating a career that spanned more than 50 years, My Way, a Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra, opens at Rabbit Run Theater, Friday, August 16.

As a pop superstar, Sinatra was one of the first American entertainers to evoke near mass pandemonium in concerts, paving the way for future musical icons. His melodies captured the emotions and dreams of everyone and struck a common chord regardless of class or background.

The show, conceived by David Grapes and Todd Olson, is a review of 57 of Sinatra’s greatest hits, including New York, New York, High Hopes and My Way. Although no one actor portrays Sinatra, the score presents his lifetime career using the talents of two male and two female vocalists set in a nightclub-like setting.

The show is directed and choreographed by Paige Heidrich. Heidrich has been active at Rabbit Run for almost 15 years as an actor, student, instructor and director. She recently earned a bachelor’s degree from Baldwin Wallace with a major in music education and vocal performance.

“It’s been a pleasure working with four vocal performers who are able to bring such nuance and style to the lyrics of Frank Sinatra,” says Heidrich. “We have been able to create intimate and reminiscent moments with music from an era that radiated class, sophistication and elegance.”

Musical direction is provided by Jonathan Gordon. Playing the male vocalists are J. J. Luster and R. Scott Posey. Luster has performed in numerous productions at Rabbit Run and at the Fine Arts Association in Willoughby.

Posey, a member of Actors equity Association, has performed and directed in numerous shows at Rabbit Run Theater and serves as the head of the Performing Arts Department at Lake Catholic High School.

The two female vocalists are Haley Gagnon and Emily Stack. Gagnon has performed in productions both at Rabbit Run, the G. B. Community Theatre and at the Fine Arts Association. Stack has performed in theaters throughout Northeast Ohio including the Renaissance Theatre as well as Rabbit Run and the Fine Arts Association.

“My Way, a Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra” opens Friday, Aug. 16, and runs through Saturday, Aug. 31, and is rated general audience.
