Glow, a Northeast Ohio holiday tradition, returns the day after Thanksgiving, transforming the Botanical Garden into a winter wonderland filled with all of the sights and sounds (and smells) of the season! Glow features over 100 fragrant firs bedecked in holiday cheer, hand-crafted gingerbread houses, hundreds of winter plants, and endless hours of family fun. Dazzling new lights will bring the outdoor gardens to life, which you can enjoy well into the night with new extended hours. Our younger visitors will enjoy rides on the Garden Express train and playing in our expanded Evergreen Adventures play area.

MEET SANTA IN THE SQUARE

Families are welcome to bring a camera to take photos with Santa. This is your chance to figure out which list you’re on this year. This event is free and open to the public.

Tickets can be purchased on-site at an admission and skate rental kiosk located just outside of the rink near the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument. Ice skate sizes from children’s 9 to adult size 13 will be available to rent.

General admission is just $10 per skater, which includes skate rental. If you bring your own ice skates tickets are $7.

Tour the historic Hayes Home in the evening and discover the holiday traditions of President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes during a unique new holiday event at the Hayes Presidential Library & Museums. Hayes Home Holidays is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 – Sunday, Dec. 23 in the Hayes Home and museum. You must reserve a spot for everyone in your party, including children who get in free. Costumed greeters will welcome guests into the home in the evening, a time the house is not usually open for tours. Visitors will tour the home and learn about the Hayes family’s Christmas and New Year’s traditions, as well as celebrations for President Rutherford and First Lady Lucy Hayes’ wedding anniversary, which was Dec. 30.
