27th Medina Ice Festival announced for February 19-22, 2021
(Medina, Ohio—January 15, 2021) – The much-loved celebration of all things frozen, also known as the Medina Ice Festival, will take place on the Medina Square February 19-22, 2021. Celebrating its 27th year, the festival, produced and run by Elegant Ice Creations, will showcase over 100 ice sculptures sponsored by local businesses, on view throughout the four-day festival. Major sponsors include Serpentini Chevrolet of Medina, Main Street Medina, The City of Medina, P.J. Marley’s, Excalibur Auto Body, and Elegant Ice Creations. The event takes place rain or shine, and all carvings are left on view throughout the weekend. The Medina Ice Festival is the largest ice festival in Northeast Ohio.
Due to COVID-19, the festival is being scaled back a bit for 2021, and will not include in-person carving contests or demonstrations, nor will it include the much-loved Fire & Ice Tower. Instead, the Medina Square will be transformed into an ice sculpture garden, with a self-guided tour of the carved creations. Guests are reminded to wear masks and watch social distancing.
Ice carving sponsorship opportunities are available for local businesses, organizations, non-profits, families, and individuals. For detailed information on how to get involved, please visit http://www.mainstreetmedina.com/medina-ice-festival.html
The Medina Ice Festival is admission free, and there is free parking throughout the District. For additional information, please contact Elegant Ice Creations at 440-717-1940.
