Ohio’s Main Streets

In this age of tech and online shopping, there are still places where you can enjoy shopping small town America.  If you have not taken the time to explore Ohio’s many charming main streets, you should.  Their historical buildings, unique shops, local faire and friendly people make visiting a delightful experience.

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN MILLERSBURG

Exploring Millersburg Ohio.

One of my favorite things to do is explore Ohio’s small town main streets.  I love their charm, their architecture and their unique shopping opportunities. When planning my recent road trip to Ohio’s Amish Country, I decided to skip my regular itinerary for a point a little west of my normal stopping ground, a place I never seemed to find the time to visit, Millersburg Ohio.

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN MEDINA

Explore the charming square of Medina, Ohio.

If you have never taken a road trip to the picturesque town of Medina, which was originally part of the Connecticut Western Reserve area, then you are truly missing the opportunity to explore one of Ohio’s most charming squares. A definite Norman Rockwell painting. The county courthouse towers over one side of the square and the rest of the square is surrounded by mom and pop shops that offer an afternoon of shopping and exploring.

HISTORIC DOWNTOWN WOOSTER

Explore the charming square of Wooster, Ohio.

“Dine, Shop, Live & Play” is how “Main Street Wooster” promotes their Historic Downtown; and they couldn’t be more correct. Filled with history, charming shops and restaurants, beautiful main street views, this Historic Downtown has much to boast about.

Wooster was named in honor of Revolutionary War Brigadier-General David Wooster of Connecticut.
