MOHICAN WINTER FEST

Weather permitting, the sponsored sculptures will be placed along Main Street around 5 p.m. Friday evening and will remain in place throughout the weekend. If the weather is too warm or rainy, the sculptures may go up Saturday morning instead.

WINTER ICE FESTIVAL

Franklin Park Conservatory is excited for the return of the Winter Ice Festival! After all the Conservatory Aglow fun, bundle up and join us on January 14, 16–18, and 21–25 for special engagement nights filled with winter magic. Enjoy a peaceful stroll through our snowy grounds and take part in seasonal fun for all ages.
During the festival, guests can lace up and hit the synthetic ice-skating rink nightly from 5–9 PM. Skates are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Warm up with hot drinks and bites from on-site food trucks, then catch the high-energy Rock on Ice ice carving competition. Each night at 7 PM, talented artists race against a 45-minute clock—and guests help choose the winner! Arrive early to watch warm-ups and stay after to meet the carvers.
Feeling chilly? Step indoors to explore our lush tropical biomes and admire the glowing beauty of the Chihuly Collection. Activities in the Grand Atrium will keep the kids entertained with a winter craft, family games and puzzles.
Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Cocktails at the Conservatory: Cold as Ice on January 15 from 5:30–9:30 PM. This 21+ event offers access to winter-themed outdoor grounds and indoor exhibits, perfectly chilled ready-to-drink cocktail samples served over ice, festive lights, live ice carving, and outdoor skating—an unforgettable winter night out.
WILD LIGHTS WEEKEND

Enjoy winter’s splendor on this 6-mile trek from Old Man’s Cave to Ash Cave. Layered clothing and good footwear recommended. Continuous starts from 9-11a.m. Logan Kiwanis Club famous bean soup and cornbread muffins are served at Cedar Falls (donations appreciated). A shuttle bus returns hikers to Old Man’s Cave parking area.

MEDINA ICE FESTIVAL

Enjoy four days of frozen fun as one of Medina’s favorite events returns to the historic Medina Square. Over 50 sponsored carvings will be on view starting Friday afternoon and through Monday afternoon.
Each day, more works of frozen art are added to the Square during the competitions. Visit during the day and see the carving take place. Visit during the night, and see each sculpture illuminated with multi-colored LED lights. It’s a magical time to walk through the Square.
