The Ohio Craft Museum is pleased to present the “Best of 2026,” a juried exhibition showcasing contemporary fine craft by 69 artists, on view May 3–July 3, 2026. Juror Carol Savion, creator of the Peabody-award-winning PBS series, Craft in America, and owner of Freehand Gallery in Los Angeles, selected 73 works in clay, glass, metal, wood, fiber and mixed media from nearly 400 entries. Thirteen artists received awards of excellence in Ohio Designer Craftsmen’s annual members competition.

The exhibition opens with a Sunday, May 3, reception from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Ohio Craft Museum. Award recipients will be recognized at 3:00 pm. The exhibition will then travel to Kent State University, where it will be on view August 25-October 7.

The 48th annual Cincinnati Concours d’Elegance is a nationally recognized automotive event celebrating automotive excellence. Vehicles are displayed in the historic gardens of Cincinnati’s Ault Park, with a classic pavilion overlooking the show field, featuring a brunch and a historic car display.

This year’s featured theme is “100 Years of Mercedes-Benz”, celebrating style and performance and showcasing more than 200 cars and motorcycles. The show also includes a tribute to the cars featured in the movies Fast & FuriousTM and CarsTM, and Turbo Era Cars (1973-1993). The weekend features various social functions leading up to Sunday’s Concours, offering automotive enthusiasts’ opportunities to connect and share their passion. To engage the next generation of car enthusiasts, the show will also feature a Legacy Library where kids can select complimentary car books, magazines, Hots Wheels® cars, and other automotive information. The Concours will once again seek youth judges interested in judging fine automobiles through its Hagerty Youth Judging Program. Proceeds benefit the Juvenile Arthritis programs of the Arthritis Foundation.

Once again D-Day Ohio, Inc. will invade the Lake Erie shores of Conneaut, Ohio, and stage the largest D-Day (1944) living history reenactment in the country. Featuring over reenactors from across the US and Canada, spectators will witness men, women, and their machines perform a living tribute to the veterans of WWII through dress, mock battles, and living history displays.

Since 1999, this annual recreation of the amphibious Allied landings upon the beaches of Normandy, France, has thrilled thousands of spectators. The event occurs within the beautifully kept grounds of Conneaut Township Park, Conneaut, Ohio, and assembles over 1,200 re-enactors from across the United States and Canada. Remarkably, the 250 yard long beach and sloping adjacent terrain closely resemble Omaha Beach in Normandy, France.

Come to Fort Laurens and celebrate the anniversary of the Continental Army’s arrival at the site of Ohio’s only Revolutionary War fort.

Reenactors in period dress will march into the site of Fort Laurens just as the Continental forces did 250 years ago. Greet the soldiers as they march in, enjoy historically accurate demonstrations, and learn about 18th-century weaponry, tools, and living practices.

The Fort Laurens Museum and gift shop will be open and offering special sales from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the museum is $6 per person, with all the proceeds going towards the preservation and educational efforts of Fort Laurens.
