Christmas at Kingwood may be the longest standing tradition at Kingwood Center Gardens, but it has become the community’s largest and most visited holiday venue. Nearly a century of Christmas memories have been made at Kingwood and now this magical experience has become the favorite holiday tradition for new generations.

The late Charles Kelley King, who originally owned the 47-acre garden estate, was reputed to have loved the holidays and decorated his mansion in grand style, including a nearly 18-foot tree in the foyer of Kingwood Hall. Friends and family were invited to lavish celebrations in his majestic French Provincial home.

Christmas at Kingwood continues to deck the halls of Mr. King’s three-story home in timeless elegance, including the tradition of the breathtaking foyer tree. Rooms and hallways are expertly decorated by volunteers following an annual theme. Volunteer performers playing in the stunning Drawing Room provide the nightly musical backdrop for the mansion tour. Two holiday concerts are scheduled that will provide exclusive access to the Kingwood Christmas experience.

The Christmas at Kingwood experience has grown to include 11 linear miles of outdoor lighting allowing guests to stroll glowing pathways through the beautiful garden estate while discovering unexpected features and delightful vistas. Hundreds of simple, yet striking, string light trees that range from 2-feet to 15-feet high illuminate the grounds with vibrant color.

The Mansfield area community joins in the excitement! Garden Clubs decorate, volunteers greet and host, and corporate entities sponsor and provide in-kind support. The Community Tree Walk, a fan favorite, features 50 live trees decorated by local businesses and organizations. Each tree is uniquely adorned by these community partners. Some trees are quite whimsical and others distinctively classic. Tree Walk partners help to spread holiday cheer, create ‘wow’ moments, while sharing their mission and purpose.

Christmas at Kingwood is an enchanting wonderland that will rekindle your magical holiday memories!
