Ohio Wine and Cheese Road Trip #1
Looking for a little getaway? Enjoy traveling the back roads of Ohio in search of new places? Like wine? Then you have landed at the right place. My Ohio Fun would like to share with you our first in a series of Ohio winery road trips.
On this road trip you will have the option to visit 4 wineries, 3 cheese stops, 2 orchards, a popular jam and jelly store, and a store that sells products for “simple living”. Please note that the wineries and other stops are only open on select days of the week.
Things to know before you go:
- Check with each location before heading out. Open hours may vary.
- Pack a cooler for all your perishable purchases.
- Don’t forget your camera.
- We have taken the liberty of adding a few additional side stops which do not sell wine and cheese, but do sell items for your wine and cheese picnic basket.
OHIO AMISH WINE AND CHEESE TRAIL #1
This road trip is a perfect fall trip. The Amish fields will be showing off their fall colors and the orchards will be picking their fall apple crop. The wineries will also be starting their fall harvest of grapes.
There is no particular order to drive this road trip. We did however create the trip in a way that your trip would continue from stop to stop in a forward motion. Wishing you a fun day of road tripping!

This little cheese house is owned and operated by the third generation of Shislers. Shisler’s was established in 1958, to offer locals and travelers on the Lincoln Highway a place to purchase local cheese, meats, and other products. Today you will find cheese, meats, chocolate, gourmet foods, gift boxes, pickles and more. I can never leave the cheese house without a pound of their Swiss Cheese. My suggestion is that you purchase one of their sample packs of cheese for later, to enjoy during your travels or if you stop at a local winery.
