My Ohio Fun Travel Talk
Answering your Ohio travel questions.
Every day I receive emails, phone calls and social media messages, all asking Ohio travel advice. The questions range from what can I do with my kids for a day to what Italian restaurant in Little Italy is my favorite, to are there places to take a train ride in Ohio?
I personally respond to all the questions, and if I don’t know the answer I will reach out to my fellow travel partners for help. Everyone gets an answer if I can find one. I love to travel and I love to share this fabulous state. I have been blessed to be able to “tell people where to go” for over 30 years.
With so many questions coming in every week, I thought it would be fun to start keep a running list of some of the questions and my answers. Just maybe someone out there is also looking for the same answer.
Keep on exploring! And yes, I know I need a podcast.

Q: Can you walk to Brandywine Falls?
A: YES. Brandywine Falls, located in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, is easily accessible to view by following the signs from the parking lot to the boardwalk. There is an upper viewing area and a lower viewing area. There are also steps. The majority of the steps are to get to the lower viewing area.
There is limited parking in the parking lot. Normally, there is not an issue finding a spot, except during peak holidays and the fall season. If you are ambitious, you can hike to the falls from the Boston Mill Visitor Center (approx. 5 miles).
Anytime is a great time to visit the falls. After a rain storm the falls increase in size.
Restrooms and a couple picnic tables are available where you park.
Don’t forget your camera.

Q: Family coming in from out-of-town and they want to head to Amish Country near Berlin. Anything special we should see and do?
A: If you are only spending one day, I would suggest you hit some of the highlights, like Lehman’s, Heini’s Cheese Chalet or Guggisberg Cheese Factory. Downtown Berlin if you want to spend time in one area. For nearby lunch, I would suggest the Boyd & Wurthmann Restaurant (cash only) or Berlin Farmstead. If time allows, the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center is a great place to stop and learn about the history of the Amish, Mennonites and to view the 10ft x 265 ft. circular mural called Behalt. Tis The Season is another stop and Ohio’s largest year ’round Christmas shoppe.
