MY OHIO FUN ROAD TRIP NOTES
If you’re planning an early-season getaway to Put-in-Bay, here are a few additional resources:
- Visit the Miller Ferry website for “What’s Open.” As the season begins, it’s a great resource as the island wakes up from its winter slumber.
- Download a Put-in-Bay Island Guide at visitputinbay.com. You’ll find hard copies around the island and at the Visitor Center, but it’s always nice to review options ahead of time and make a game plan.

Things to remember:
➡️ When taking the ferry, make sure you check final departure times. Allow time for returning any rented golf carts and give yourself plenty of time to board. Arrive about 1/2 hour early. If it is going to be a busy weekend for tourists, plan accordingly.
➡️ Wear comfortable shoes. Dress for weather. Sometimes island breezes can be cool.
➡️ If you enjoy shopping, you will find plenty of unique shops to explore. Offerings include nautical gifts, Put-in-Bay merchandise, boutique merchandise, specialty shops, and more.
➡️ There is a nice variety of foodie stops on the island. To view what is open click here.
➡️ Most places accept Visa and Mastercard, but it is always good idea to carry some cash.
➡️ For those who can not live without their phones, I found only a few parts of the island that I had difficulty with cell service.
Time to book YOUR ISLAND GETAWAY!
Keep on exploring!
