COSHOCTON COUNTY

APPLE BUTTER STIRRIN’ FESTIVAL
Dates:  October 19-21, 2018

Smell the fresh apple butter simmering over an open fire as you stroll through the street, lined with over 100 craft and food vendors, and listen to the tunes of bluegrass and music from days gone-by. Events throughout the weekend include Living History Tours, “Spirit of Roscoe” Lantern tour (offered at 7:00pm on Friday & Saturday only, Reservations are recommended), Canal boat rides, and a children’s activity area.

Admission cost is $5.00 for guests 12 years and older. This fee includes admission to the Living History Buildings. Members of the Roscoe Village Foundation and children under 12 get in free. Parking is free.

It is time once again for the 48th Annual Coshocton County Fall Foliage and Farm Tour. The drive-it-yourself tour will be held Saturday, October 20 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 21 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. This year’s tour will highlight northeast Coshocton County. There will be plenty of opportunities for participants to have an up-close experience with agriculture along the tour route.

HAUNTED SANDUSKY BAY WALK

This tour covers some of Sandusky’s historical buildings and their pasts including mysterious occurrences, murders, and ghost sightings. The walk lasts approximately one hour. We are thrilled to let you know that we’ll be hosting the incredible David Keltz in October of this year for the ninth consecutive year of “An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe” here at James A. Garfield NHS! Poe was a favorite author of James and Lucretia Garfield, and no one brings the “master of the macabre” to life better than David Keltz!

This year’s Poe event are Friday-Saturday, October 19-20. (6:00pm & 7:30pm each day).
As always, tickets will go on sale on October 1.

Hear exciting stories of some of the colorful criminals that resided in the jail while learning the significance of this rare and historic structure.
