DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW…. Ohio Carriage and Sleigh Rides

Horse-drawn carriage and sleigh rides are a wonderful way to enjoy the holiday season with family and friends.  This year why not take a carriage ride through Downtown Cambridge and see all the holiday lights. Or enjoy a sleigh ride through the countryside followed by a hot maple coffee and pastries at Ma and Pa’s in Burton.

The following is a list of upcoming carriage, buggy and sleigh rides.

Dickens Village - Cambridge OH

DICKENS VICTORIAN VILLAGE – Horse Drawn Carriage Rides

Dates: November 2; 8-9, 15-16; 22-23 & 29-30
Time: 5pm-9pm
Location: West 8th Street next to Guernsey County Courthouse

Enjoyable and unforgettable ride through the historical downtown. Available Friday and Saturday nights 5 – 9pm. Tours depart from West 8th St (next to the Courthouse). Cost is $12 for all riders. Children under 5 years of age will not be charged. Tickets are available from the driver, DEPENDENT ON WEATHER. Please call the Welcome Center for updates, 740.421.4956.

Rutherford B. Hayes

HORSE-DRAWN SLEIGH AND TROLLEY RIDES IN SPIEGEL GROVE

Rides are by South Creek Clydesdales. The sleigh can hold up to four people. The trolley can fit 16 to 18 people.

Sleigh rides cost $7 per rider ages 3 and older and free for ages 2 and younger. Trolley rides are $6 per rider ages 3 and older and free for ages 2 and younger.

Advance tickets for the sleigh are recommended. Tickets will also be sold the days of the rides at the museum front desk, pending availability. In-person sleigh and trolley ticket sales end at 3:45 p.m. each day the rides are offered.

Rides will take place whether or not there is snow. However, if the wind chill is below 15 degrees or there are thunderstorms, rides will be canceled.

2024: Carriage rides will be offered starting November 2 and ending December 31, located west side of the Guernsey County Courthouse. Fridays and Saturdays 5-9 pm. Weather dependent. Please call the Welcome Center 740.421.4956 for questions. You may purchase tickets at the site from the driver. Costs are $12 per rider. (children under 5 years of age no charge).

35th Annual Lebanon Horse-Drawn Carriage Parade & Festival

There will be two horse-drawn carriage parades: a daylight parade at 1pm and our traditional candlelight parade at 7pm.
