HISTORIC SCHOENBRUNN VILLAGE COMES ALIVE FOR EVENING

AUTUMN LANTERN TOUR

Tour Historic Schoenbrunn Village alit with luminaries during our Autumn Lantern Tour on Friday, September 18th and Saturday, September 19th.

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio – September 18th & 19st, 2020 – All are invited to visit Historic Schoenbrunn Village alit by luminaries at the upcoming Autumn Lantern Tour. The Village will open for the tour Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30PM and remain open until 9:30PM. Guests will encounter costumed 18th century storytellers as they peak into the Village’s sixteen reconstructed cabins.

All local and state health guidelines will be followed at this event. Masks will be required, and social distancing will be followed. All groups will be 10 people or less. Guests are asked to wait in their car until 5 minutes before their tour when they can then meet their tour guide at the flagpole. Each group will have a Tour Guide who will bring them through the Village with a lantern.

Groups are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets online at schoenbrunnvillage.eventbrite.com to ensure they get the time they want. Walk-ins are welcome but we can not guarantee a tour at the time you wish to go.

About Historic Schoenbrunn Village

Historic Schoenbrunn Village was founded in 1772 as a Moravian mission among the Delaware Indians. With founder and missionary David Zeisberger, Ohio’s first settlement reached one hundred cabins and three hundred inhabitants. Today, sixteen reconstructed cabins are available to tour. Historic Schoenbrunn Village’s last day of its 2019 regular tour season is October 27. Special events include Spring and Autumn Lantern Tours, Children’s Day, Frontier Skills, Celebration of Colonial Arts, Colonial Trade Faire, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Christmas in the Village, and a traditional Moravian Sunrise Service for Easter and Lovefeast.

Historic Schoenbrunn Village is operated by the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum and owned by the Ohio History Connection. The Village is located in New Philadelphia at 1984 East High Avenue off of U.S. 250.
