In it’s 16th year, The Joy of Christmas Light Show drive-thru display was established by the Columbiana Area Tourism Bureau (CATB), and area volunteers.

Highlights include: 

  • 1+million lights on 90+ displays set-up in historic Harvey S. Firestone Recreation Park.
  • Gingerbread House where you see a Gingerbreads crafted by students from area schools as well as professionals. On select nights, Mrs. Claus will there for story-time. Children’s activities.
  • Ice Castle – Photos with Santa. A 1-5×7 color photo; additional fee. Indoor train display & children’s activities. $1. concessions benefiting local nonprofit and civic organizations.

Every night until the night before Christmas Eve you can peek into Santa’s Workshop to see a live Santa at work and then, every 15 minutes or so, watch him check his list and go up the chimney to load his sleigh.

Seasonal splendor and festive family fun are just around the corner at Lake Metroparks Farmpark’s annual Country Lights Drive-thru! Enjoy an illuminated winter wonderland from the warmth and comfort of your own vehicle.

Travel through Farmpark’s winding roadways and immerse yourself in twinkling lights and dazzling decorations. Find beloved holiday classics along the way plus enjoy new scenes and displays too.

“More than 300,000 lights will be set up along a route about a mile long,” says Lake Metroparks Farmpark Events Manager Andy McGovern. “It’s all themed so you’ll see traditional characters like gingerbread men, elves and friends from the North Pole, but we’ll also have some modern twists too. It’s really a lot of fun.”

The event runs November 30, December 1, 6–8, 13–15, 20–22 & 27–29 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., rain or shine. Tickets ($27.50 per carload) must be purchased in advance and are only available online at https://www.showclix.com/tickets/country-lights-drive-thru-2024; terms and conditions apply.

Ticket sales begin Monday, October 28 at 8 am for Lake County residents and Farmpark members. Open registration begins Tuesday, October 29 at 8 am. A limit of three tickets per household and per membership applies.

Optional wooden toy kits ($5 each) are available for purchase when ordering carload tickets. Kits are picked up at the event and taken home to be assembled. Paint and glue are not included.

Lake Metroparks Farmpark is located at 8800 Euclid Chardon Road in Kirtland.
