A sweet holiday adventure the whole family will love will soon come to life at Lake Metroparks Penitentiary Glen Reservation! Beginning November 23, experience the magic and whimsy of Candy Land: It’s Wild in Ohio! presented by Sylvan Learning of Mentor.

Journey through this life-sized gameboard and discover colorful habitats—like forests, fields and wetlands—as well as enchanting animal displays at every turn. The path also features a playset courtesy of Playground World.

Guests can enjoy hot chocolate in Snowshoe Lodge, shop for unique nature-themed gifts in The Nature Store, and participate in crafts, scavenger hunts, and other interactive exhibits as well.

“This is a much-loved holiday tradition, and we see families come back year after year to enjoy the exhibit,” says Lake Metroparks Deputy Chief of Outdoor Connections Caitlin Ambrose. “This year, we’re excited to expand the theme to feature different types of animals rather than just birds, as we’ve done in years past. We hope visitors will leave with a newfound excitement for the many unique and colorful species we have in Ohio.”

The exhibit will also include special Wild Weekends programs sponsored by Renewal by Andersen. Each Saturday, enjoy an outdoor campfire with s’mores from noon to 3 pm and animal chats at 11 am, 1 and 3 pm. On Sundays, experience meet-the-keeper chats in the Wildlife Yard at 11 am, 1 and 3 pm.
