Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is once again celebrating the season with their annual “Deck the Hall” and Dazzle lightshow. Don’t let the holiday season slip by without planning a tour of this former home of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company co-founder F.A. Seiberling and his family. Stan Hywet is the largest historic home in Ohio and sixth largest in the U.S.

Deck the Hall Hours: Nov. 28 – 30, Dec. 4 – 7, 11 – 14, 18 – 23, 26 – 30
3-8pm. Last entry/admission at 8pm; grounds stay open until 9pm

HISTORIC HOLIDAY HOME TOUR

This year the decorators out did themselves. The dazzling winter-themed décor infused with nature just brings a whimsical holiday magic to each room. From the over-the-top dining room with a tree for a centerpiece, the teddy bear infused bedroom, to the forest themed master bedroom. the decorations are truly charming and magical.

TOUR THE GROUNDS
Get ready for a wonderful light show. On the estate grounds there are over 1.4 million lights illuminating the pathways and gardens. You will also find photo op stations throughout the estate. (Watch the weather, dress accordingly and bring an umbrella if necessary.)

The Playgarden has been turned into a magical wonderland. A great place for photo ops. The lighted picture frame is perfect for family or group photos.
ALLOW TIME to visit the Corbin Conservatory, where you will find beautiful holiday poinsettia’s to purchase. Bring cash.

DON’T FORGET to make a stop after your tour at Carriage House Courtyard Café’ where you can purchase one of those famous warm gingerbread cookies and a cup of hot chocolate. Beer and wine are also available. A warm gingerbread cookie with a cup of hot chocolate around the fire is always a delights. You can also support Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens by purchasing one of their Gingerbread Cookie bake at home boxes. (2025 cost: $31.)

SHOP & SUPPORT: Find unique gifts, holiday décor’, Stan Hywet ornaments and more in Molly’s Shop. A gift membership to Stan Hywet may be the perfect gift for someone on your list.
VISIT THE MAN IN THE RED SUIT: Just outside Molly’s Shop is where you will find Santa himself and two animated shop windows, including my favorite “The Gingerbread Bakeshop”.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO.
- Purchase tickets ahead of time. Tickets do sell out on select nights.
- The house is not handicapped accessible. There are steps. Parts of the garden includes walking on a stone path.
The walk from the parking area to the Manor and Conservatory is paved. - Photography is permitted but no video or flash.
- Tours are self-guided. Last tour starts one hour before closing.
- Plan 2-3 hours to tour the house and grounds.
- Strollers are not permitted in the home. They can be parked outside during the tour.
- Free parking is available on-site. Shuttles are available when the main parking lot is full.
- Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
