Spring Plant Sales in Ohio
Each year, as spring begins to take hold, I head out in search of new plants for my garden. I’m especially drawn to local fundraising plant sales, where I often find some of the best perennials and vegetable starts.
Below is a list of upcoming plant sales around Ohio. I’ll keep it updated as more information becomes available—let me know if you have a favorite spot.
PLANT SALES
🌱 Adena Mansion & Gardens

Native Perennial Homegrown Sale

Shop native plants and shrubs grown, lovingly cared for, and donated by local dedicated native gardeners. Over 100 varieties of native plants will be available including coneflower, mountain mint, blue-eyed grass, iron weed, honeysuckle, spicebush, swamp rose, and MUCH MORE!

🌱 Secrest Garden Fair
Date: June 13, 2026

The event will include gardening workshops, activities for kids, a plant sale, and local food trucks. Plus, Master Gardener Volunteers will lead tours of the arboretum grounds, giving insider information about the expansive 110-acre outdoor laboratory and landscape garden and the more than 2,500 varieties of perennials, shrubs, and trees growing there.
The Secrest Garden Fair is free to attend and includes free parking.
🌱 Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens
May 17 & 18 – Near the Corbin Conservatory and Greenhouse. May 20 -June 1 (closed Mondays) in the Carriage House Courtyard.
10am-5pm, Tues.-Sun. Arrive by 4pm, when the front gate closes for the day.
