Rabbit Run Theater
Hey fellow travelers.
Have you purchased your tickets yet? Located in Madison OH and near Ohio’s Wine Country, Rabbit Run Theater is one of Ohio’s theater treasures. Every summer this historic barn theater opens its doors to a season of delightful theater productions as well as a youth production.
In my opinion, everyone should at one point in their life, experience a play being performed in a barn. On a beautiful night when the doors are opened you hear the sounds of nature in the distance as you are entertained. It’s a perfect experience for a date night or with a group of friends. And being located near Ohio’s Wine Country, you are sure to find a few places to enjoy a meal before hand.

This year Rabbit Run Theater opens with a mystery, “Wait Until Dark”. The performance will run May 23rd through June 7th. “This masterfully constructed thriller moves from one moment of suspense to another as it builds toward an electrifying, breath-stopping final scene.”

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Rabbit Run Theater is located at 5648 W. Chapel Rd., Madison, OH 44057
Guests are welcome to bring a picnic meal to enjoy on the grounds of the theater prior to a show in the picnic pavilion or courtyards. During intermission, snacks are available to purchase.
Two of my favorite foodie stops to visit near the theater are Debonne Vineyards and Grand River Cellars. Both are a short ride to the theater and both offer a nice selection of seasonal menu items. If you enjoy wine, you can not go wrong with either winery.
“Rabbit Run Theater is one of the few barn theaters still in operation and operates under the auspices of Rabbit Run Community Arts Association, a non-profit organization offering year-round instruction in all the major disciplines of the fine and performing arts.”
