For Immediate Release, Bath, Ohio – Celebrate Ohio on Friday August 30 from 12:00pm – 5:00pm and Saturday and Sunday August 31 – September 1 from 10:00am-5:00pm. This annual celebration of the arts features 170 makers from all over the state.
The Made in Ohio Art & Craft Festival is an outdoor event among the historic and idyllic scenery of Hale Farm & Village. Vendors include jewelry artists, potters, carvers, glass artists, soap and lotion makers, quilters, and a variety of unique fine craft artists. A variety of food vendors and beverages including Ohio beer and wine will be available during the day. There is also musical entertainment and traditional artisan demonstrations.
The festival, in its 9th year, is expanding with craft workshops including floor cloth painting, paper marbling and wool felting. Guests can take part in the creativity and add a workshop to the festival experience; the $30 workshop fee includes admission to the festival. Workshops are for ages 12- adult and are 60 minutes long. Reservations are required visit halefarm.org or call 330666-3711.
This festival highlights the entrepreneurial spirit of our region. Hale Farm & Village artisans using traditional methods for their crafts and trades demonstrate this spirit daily. “Entrepreneurship is a core value that runs through just about everything we do at the museum, from our education programming to the MarketPlace that sells the handcrafted products produced on site,” explains Site Director Jason Klein.
During the festival, guests can enjoy lunch at Hale’s own Café 1810 offering a variety of salads, sandwiches and snacks or sip their favorite Ohio beer and wine on the Visitor’s Center patio.
Guests can also shop The Marketplace at Hale Farm & Village, which features handcrafted at Hale items, as well as many other Ohio made crafts and souvenirs.
Admissions to the festival is $7 Adults (13years and older), $5 Youth (3-12 years), $10 for a Festival Pass (unlimited admission), WRHS members, active military and youth 2 years and under are free.
