Make an Emotional Support Chicken

Wednesday, November 11th
4:00 to 6:00 PM

In honor of our America 250 exhibit, Through Their Hands: People and Treasures of Early Coshocton, JH Museum is hosting a series of handcrafting workshops.

Life is hard, but a colorful, huggable, emotional support chicken can make it better! “What is an ‘emotional support chicken?’” you may ask. Created by Annette Corsino in 2023 from a modification to Bev Galeskas’ “Henrietta and Family” design, an emotional support chicken is designed to be soft, silly, and- most importantly- huggable.

Learn how to make one with us! This fun project requires basic crochet skills. Yarn and stuffing will be provided, please bring your own 4.5mm (7 US size) crochet hook. The cost for registering is $15 per person. Participants must register at jhmuseum.org/crafternoons.
