BATH, Ohio – July 24, 2023 – One of Ohio’s largest Civil War reenactments returns to Hale Farm & Village for Civil War Weekend, August 12th and 13th from 10am to 5pm.
Experience Hale Farm & Village in a unique way during our Civil War Weekend!
Step back into the 1860’s Civil War era to explore reenactor camps and our historic sites as we bring to life the diverse experiences and stories of people from Northeast Ohio and across the country. A living history program series, Voices From the Past, will present the lives of both free and enslaved peoples through first-person interpretations. In addition, join us for a robust schedule of timed and ongoing presentations from partners exploring the historic and cultural importance of the time period.
Event highlights include: Voices From the Past, Interactive opportunities within our Reenactor Encampments, Historic sites featuring immersive experiences of daily life for Western Reserve citizens during the Civil War, Archival highlights exploring the real stories of local soldiers, Period shopping & modern treats!
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door on the day of the event. Admission rates are $15 for adults, $8 for children (aged 3-12) and free for members and active duty military.
The Cuyahoga Valley has been home to diverse peoples for thousands of years. As a living history museum, Hale Farm & Village acknowledges and works to amplify the stories of the many peoples who lived on this site and explore the varied experiences of the inhabitants of the Western Reserve during the late 18th and 19th centuries.
