Start your day at Lehman’s in Kidron at 9:00am and celebrate spring with a sweet tour through eight much-loved retail establishments in beautiful Wayne County, Ohio: Lehman’s, Eastwood Furniture, The Pine Cone Gift Shop, Shisler’s Cheese House, Journey in Time, East Union Bulk Foods Skylar Brook Farms and The J.M. Smucker Company Store and Café. Receive a gourmet cupcake plus exclusive offers at each store.”
Ticket Includes:
>- Eight gourmet cupcakes from different bakeries. These decadent cupcakes will be individually packaged for your convenience, so you can enjoy them on your tour or savor them later at home.

Tickets must be purchased before the tour. No tickets sold during the tour. The first stop this year is at Lehman’s. This is where you will pick up your lanyard and ticket for the other stops.
Tickets are good for BOTH days. You may attend Friday or Saturday, or both!

2024 Cupcake Tour Stops
In 2022, the Wayne County Cupcake Tour was included in My Ohio Fun’s Cupcake Road Rally. Below are just a few of the highlights our rally enjoyed along the trail.
Lehman’s

One of my favorite stops on the tour. There is no store in Ohio quite like Lehman’s Hardware, family owned and operated since 1955. If you’re looking for a special widget, well they probably have one. From garden tools to oil lamps, to toys, snacks and sweets, to Amish made products, you are going to want to make sure you allow enough time to shop.
Make sure your check out the old-time soda pop section. Nothing like a cold Grape Nehi or Frosty Rootbeer!
Lehman’s also has a snack bar open during specific hours and did I mention great bathrooms?
Eastwood Furniture

Family owned and operated, the Eastwood Furniture store has been partnering with Amish Craftsman to furnish high quality made in Ohio furniture. They will also custom make your furniture. The day we visited they offered a special savings coupon for anyone who wanted to make a purchase.
The Pine Cone Gift Shop
2877 Kidron Road, Orrville OH

Here you will find unique gift items. From gift cards to candles, this little shop offers a nice selection of home decorations, floral arrangements and gifts. Make sure you check out the lawn ornaments outside.

Dutch Kitchen, Bakery & Gift Shop (not on tour)

The My Ohio Fun Cupcake Road Rally made a lunch stop at the Das Dutch Kitchen. The restaurant has recently gone under a total renovation. Our group enjoyed a delicious buffet, followed by a slice of pie. Prior arrangements was made to also purchase cupcakes for everyone on the tour. (The kitchen is not on the tour.)
Shisler’s Cheese House

Just around the corner, (a 2 minute drive), is the Shisler’s Cheese House. This is where that cooler is going to come in real handy. Shisler’s was established in 1958, to offer locals and travelers on the Lincoln Highway a place to purchase local cheese, meats, and other products. Today you will find cheese, meats, chocolate, gourmet foods, gift boxes, pickles and more. I can never leave the cheese house without a pound of their Swiss Cheese. My suggestion is that you purchase one of their sample packs of cheese for later, to enjoy during your travels or if you stop at a local winery.
The J.M. Smucker Company Store and Café

The J.M. Smucker Company has been making those delicious jars of goodness for over 120 years. The store includes all their famous jellies, jams, as well as gift baskets, kitchen accessories, and pet products. Allow at least a 1/2 hour for shopping.
Journey in Time

What isn’t to love about this stop. Such wonderful antiques, primitives, and farmhouse items to choose from. Don’t let the exterior fool you. The store is much bigger that you think. The merchandise is also changing daily, so if you find something you like, you better grab it.

East Union Bulk Foods is a new stop for 2022. Make sure you allow time to shop this area favorite bulk food store.
Here are a few Wayne County Cupcake Tour #MyOhioFun road trip notes:
- Before the tour purchase a cupcake holders at the Dollar Store. Every cupcake that you receive on the tour will come in it’s own container, so you really do not need a cupcake holder. It just makes for a great place to store your confectionery treasures when you got home.
- Make sure you take a cooler! Some of the cupcakes have chocolate, and no one likes melted frosting.
- The stops on the cupcake tour are offering special one day shopping coupon.
- There were seven (8) stops on the cupcake tour.
