Tiny House – Big Living

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MARCH 25, 2019, KIDRON, OH

Lehman’s to unveil The Tiny House on the Tiny Homestead in April

Simple living in a small space might be just what you need. Big houses come with big bills and big chores and sometimes – big headaches. Which is why Lehman’s, on the square in Kidron, is pleased to announce the unveiling of their Tiny House on a Tiny Homestead on April 20. There is no charge to attend the event, which will be held from 10 am to 3 pm.

Lehman’s Tiny House is currently under construction at Schrock’s Structures in Massillon. It will be delivered to Lehman’s next week and placed in the garden area, which is being turned into an urban homestead. Lehman’s staff will finish and furnish it.

“Settling into to a cozy, inexpensive tiny house is more than a trend – it’s a lifestyle people are embracing,” said Galen Lehman, CEO and son of company founder Jay Lehman. “Many tiny houses are portable and require no electricity – supplying homeowners with off grid appliances is what we have been doing for over 60 years, so having our own tiny house makes sense.”

Lehman’s and Old Hickory Buildings, LLC [parent company of Schrock Structures] partnered to build the 240 square foot renovated shed. Tiny homes can be used as an artist studio, a storage space, a children’s play house, an office, or a full-time residence.

Popular You Tubers Off Grid with Doug and Stacy will be traveling from Missouri to Kidron to unveil the tiny house. With almost a quarter million subscribers on You Tube, Doug and Stacy show viewers how to live without electricity, and still have everything they need for heat, food, light and water. “We were sick and tired of city life and decided to go back to the old ways by living off the grid on our very own homestead,” said Doug. “We have been Lehman’s customers for years and they helped us furnish our off grid 600-square foot Tiny House.”

Doug and Stacy are standing in front of their 600-square-foot cabin on 11 acres in rural Missouri.

“Our quality of life has never been better,” said Doug, who embraced the simple life with no knowledge of homesteading or carpentry. “We grow most of our own food and have never been healthier or happier.”

Lehman’s is located in the tiny village of Kidron, about an hour south of Cleveland. The store is open every day except Sunday, from 9 am to 5 pm. Lehmans.com is open any time!
